PROJECT CYTOS | Combat Prototype

This is a raw "feel test" for my first Steam game. I’m tired of floaty combat, so I’m building Project Cytos to be as visceral as possible. This is a very early greybox prototype used to test the weight of the hits, the camera shakes, and the impact logic. It’s not perfect, it’s definitely buggy, but the "crunch" is finally there.

The Focus:

  • Heavy Hits: Custom hit-stop and camera shakes so you feel every strike.
  • High Contrast: Sharp outlines and clean visuals to keep the fight readable.
  • Aggressive AI: Enemies that track you and fight back.

Released Build (Showcase):

Status: Released on 4/24/26. This build features two complete levels.

I’m sharing this early because I want to know if the combat feels "heavy" enough or if it still needs more work.
